  • Me and my family's entrepreneurial itch got us to carve out Jaars - a homegrown brand of Indian spices and pickles! Jaars also serves as an acronym for our cute, middle-class Indian family - Jaishree (my mum), Aparna (my sister), Akash (no prize for guessing this), Ravi (my dad), and Sneh (our youngest member and also my grandma).
  • Well, I pretty much did everything. Right from the procurement of raw materials, cracking the product pricing, and making viable business cases to putting in the grind to make the product and selling it in the market.
  • A solid 9 month journey which I had to drift away from due to personal reasons but Jaars scaled to close to 600 units a month in Q3 of company operations (Q1 for sales). We did a little more than a lakh in revenue at that time.
  • Oh, it was fun!
