• At Bayer, I contribute to the development and enhancement of custom Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) applications that support TaqMan PCR detection and genotyping-by-sequencing workflows. My responsibilities span requirement understanding, backend development, cloud integration, and post-production support.
• Working with technologies like Java 17 (Spring Boot), ReactJS, Node.js, and AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Fargate, S3, CodeBuild, VPCs, SNS, StepFunctions), I help build scalable microservices and automation tools that streamline lab operations and improve data accessibility.
• One of my key contributions involves developing API-based microservices for secure and efficient handling of high-volume scientific data—processing hundreds of thousands of sample records with speed and reliability.
• I’ve also been entrusted with building and enhancing an in-house PCR scoring application, which integrates ReactJS, Spring Boot APIs, AWS S3, and Apache Kafka to support critical decision-making on qPCR and dPCR intensity data.
• Collaborating closely within a DevOps Agile framework, I actively engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, code reviews, and regular discussions with lab users to ensure the software solutions are aligned with practical scientific workflows and deliver real value.
