• Worked on JPEG compression algorithm to decompress Indian Remote Sensing satellite data. As the algorithm consume lot of CPU cycles, to search the SOC marker for image, it takes a considerable amount of time at the initial phase. Later on the optimized the code through code re-factoring and used multiprocessing and shared memory and semaphore.
• Worked on RS-Decoding to detect & correct the burst bit error(s) while down linking the satellite data. The algorithm has its own logic to cope up with its down-link burst error. It uses the Reed-Solomon technology to decode the data & use Berlekamp iterative algorithm to correct the errors.
• Worked on generic SCSI driver to control/manipulate any iSCSI device attached to server through C/C++ programming.
