• Started as an Architect at PayPal and built a POC Cloud in the lab using un-used decommissioned servers.
• Show cased the POC to senior leadership and got buy ins to take it next level.
• Moved to management role and built a team from scratch to build PayPal Cloud.
• The team quickly added missing capabilities in open source code base and built two availability zones in 3 months.
• Hosted 10 applications in just 3 months and server holiday peak traffic with over 30% improvement for api responses. The highlight was 1/5th of the cost when compared with vendor product based solutions.
• By 2016 summer. 100% of PayPal web and mid workloads were migrated to our own cloud.
