• After running several successful editions of Monthly Music Hackathon TORONTO (http://toronto.monthlymusichackathon.org/), I teamed up with Andrew, Nathalia, and Alan Cross to bring Music Technology MeetUp to Toronto. It has become Toronto's premiere networking event centred around the intersection of music and technology, with by the end of 2017 having over 2000 members.

• At Phrase, we had a vision of repeating for the music production world what Google Drive had done for the office productivity world - create a universally portable operating system that just worked - instantly, anywhere, on the cloud. Through the recent introduction of Web Audio API in 2014, it was the perfect enabling shift in technology. I recruited a founding team of 4 incredibly smart individuals, and built a world-class User Interface using bleeding edge ReactJS + Canvas + Javascript Event handling techniques. However, Phrase was unable to achieve product-market-fit. Learned a lot from many mistakes made here.

• As one of the lead engineers at TeamBuy, I focused on the area of user experience. This means I provided direction to the team on design, front-end development, and information architecture as it all related to user experience. Towards the end of my tenure there I helped with operational and project management for the team of 10+.
• Some of the cool things I did:
• → Underwent a merger with Dealfind.com. The integration process took 6 months, combining the web-operational environments and teams of 2 multimillion-dollar companies.
• → Designed and built a non-standard Shopping Cart experience, enabling TeamBuy customers to buy multiple items at a time and do so intuitively given a the unique Information Architecture challenge
• → Developed a responsive mobile website experience using CSS3 Media Queries. This allowed TeamBuy to drop their separate mobile website codebase, and serve both mobile and desktop users from the same codebase, improving operational efficiency of the team, and improving the functionality provided to mobile users.
• → Implemented analytics and advertising solutions (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and DoubleClick, custom built referral mechanisms, etc.). Worked closely with the marketing team to develop each strategy.

• For 2 consecutive years of the show, my principal role was to lead the music production team in composing and arranging the soundtrack. I also lead other technical efforts in the show, including audio/lighting setup, control booth, and stage. Together with a team of over 100 student volunteers, we raised over $16,000 towards charity.
