• I joined the Front End team and worked on ReactJS. This was my first real Front
• End experience. Over 1 year I did lot of changes in front end product to
• increase booking conversion and reduce customer touch points like built a
• proper Booking Management UI.
• After 1 year I moved to backend and data team.
• This was my first exposure working for inhouse multi data center distributed
• system. Agoda has its own cloud so I learned a lot about designing systems
• that are consistent in a distributed environment , I learned about designing
• resilient systems.
• Built Cancel and Rebook product that generated 12M$ yearly revenue . This
• project was built using Scala and Akka Graph and was reading events from
• Kafka, it was storing data on Mysql database.
• Created global coupon system for pricing team which served millions of
• customers. This project was built on Scala and Akka HTTP with Mysql as
• database with 1 master write and multiple read replica setup. We used
• Kubernetes for deploying on premise.
• Revamped booking amendment flow from C# to Scala with new RabbitMQ

• This was my first experience working and living outside India. Also this was my
• first B2B SaaS experience.
• The main product was a learning management platform . Our customers like
• Atlassian uploaded content on our platform to teach their employees.
• The backend was built in Java and Spring and Postgres was used as a
• database.
• We had to save student's progress in backend, I implemented JWT based
• system so that students scores cannot be tempered in middle.
• I had built Token management system for purchasing courses and learning
• material.
• I had created Migration tool using AWS SQS, Lambda and DynamoDB to
• migrate customer data from legacy system to a new tool, which reduced
• downtimes to almost 0.

• This was my first B2C high scale exposure.
• I did Meet and Beat project as a POC where we were analyzing competitor
• prices and were generating best prices based on that, we used java and
• Mysql for this project. I got employee of the month award for building this
• system.
• Created customer persuasion system from scratch which helped increase
• booking conversions by 5% . This tool was built using Spring boot. We had to
• process around 1 million searches everyday. We were reading them from
• Kafka and storing them in Mysql InnoDB engine. We were using Redis as our
• cache for instant retrieval. I got promotion for this project.
• We graduated Meet and Beat project later as it showed positive results.

Mar 2014 – Jan 2016 · 1 yr 10 mos · India

• This was my first product based company, I also learned to collaborate with a
• US team as 2 of my colleagues were in US.
• Our team worked on a Git alternative for Versioning Oracle internal tools which
• includes RDBMS database. This tool was built on Groovy and Grails .
• We were responsible for building, deploying all tools in Oracle.
• On top of this we built a tool that exposes various insights like build times,
• notifications etc.

Aug 2012 – Feb 2014 · 1 yr 6 mos

• Stood 1st place in the Wipro Technologies among a batch of 30 people for PRP
• training of 3 months where I learned Java and SQL.
• I integrated a propriety authorization system which was really complex. I got
• applauded and a nice raise for this project.
• Created a system which generated Complex daily, monthly and yearly Reports
• for a large Bank in Ireland using Java and Servlets.
