Cirrus insight

Client: AI-Native UX/UI Design Support

Nov 2025Present · 6 mos · Seattle, Washington, United States

  • We are grateful with Cirrus because they are the first client to specifically ask us to not us Figma, and move straight into Cursor which is precisely the way we've been preaching the future of UX/UI design looks like!
  • We're helping Cirrus Insight explore and refine new product directions using AI-powered design workflows. They specifically asked us not to use Figma—instead, they requested we design and prototype directly in code using Cursor.
  • After demoing our approach live to their Product Management and Leadership team, they brought us on to transform their early-stage 'vibe explorations' into cohesive, consistent experiences grounded in UX/UI best practices. We iterate quickly through multiple design directions, refining ideas into polished concepts.
  • Our deliverables are working prototypes that simulate end-to-end user experiences with real interactions, data models, and information architecture. These human-AI created prototypes serve as the final handoff to their engineering team, enabling faster implementation. The speed and flexibility of coding with AI lets us explore more possibilities in less time than traditional design tools would allow.

Lighten

Client: Dedicated Product Studio (UX, UI, Engineering)

Nov 2025Feb 2026 · 3 mos · London Area, United Kingdom

  • Pixelspace began collaborating with LightEn—a nonprofit foundation dedicated to raising consciousness by making wisdom libraries freely accessible to humanity. We're grateful for the opportunity to support their incredible mission by designing user experiences that are still under wraps.
  • This collaboration showcases Pixelspace's 2025 capabilities: rapid AI-powered incubation, brainstorming, research, and prototyping using AI. The speed at which we've been able to explore concepts has genuinely surprised the LightEn team—they've told us they've never seen this pace of iteration before. We're currently working across three parallel workstreams: UX/UI design where our Pixelites are crafting the core experience; AI engineering where we're building a proof-of-concept AI Librarian using vector databases, semantic search, and intelligent agents; and curator tooling to support wisdom library curators across England, the United States, and other countries in their work.
  • We're just getting started, but we expect to share more details about what we're building with LightEn throughout 2026.

Glidance inc

Client: Glidance

Feb 2023Mar 2024 · 1 yr 1 mo · Seattle, WA

  • Pixelspace partnered with Glidance founder Amos Miller—our friend and former collaborator from Microsoft Soundscape at Microsoft Research—to incubate Glide, the world's first autonomous guide for people who are blind or have low vision. Amos gave us the opportunity to explore the concept for both user experience and the Glide device using AI-only tools.
  • Over several months, Pixelspace visualized and explored the industrial design and user experience incubation for the Glide device using exclusively AI tools. We generated over 200 design explorations and models in Midjourney, refining the device's form and function through rapid iteration. We also created photorealistic scenarios showing Glide in action with different user types, helping visualize the experience before a single prototype existed. One of our industrial designers, Nina Centurión, translated the preferred Midjourney explorations into SolidWorks models, preparing everything for Amos's first presentation at CES.
  • Once Amos secured seed funding and assembled a team of hardware engineers and roboticists, Glidance took the product forward. We're proud that much of our early design influence remains visible in Glide's current version—a testament to how AI-powered incubation can establish strong product foundations that endure through professional engineering and manufacturing refinement.

Pixelspace

Founder, UX and UI Designer

Jun 2012Present · 13 yrs 11 mos · Seattle, WA

  • Pixelspace is a boutique product studio (~8 designers) who design, build, and ship end-to-end products. In 2025, we evolved from a pure UX/UI design shop into a full product studio—still designing with the rigor Bill Buxton, Massimo Vignelli, and August de los Reyes taught us, but now powered by AI to prototype, iterate, and ship production-ready code at startup speed.
  • Every Pixelite works now primarily in Claude Code + Cursor and uses a wealthy set of AI tools like Figma, Midjourney, Gemini's NotebookLM, a few internal Pixelspace apps we've created for ourselves. We've become 2×-10× designers—speaking ideas into existence through voice-first, AI-native workflows. In 2025 alone, we processed 500M input tokens and 30M+ output tokens, representing nearly five million spoken words. We cloned three SaaS products (Otter, Loom, WisprFlow) to replace our own subscriptions, saving $3,500 annually—proof that designers with AI can build real software fast.
  • We also continue offering embedded UX/UI design services for companies that need experienced design talent without building in-house teams. We're here for the long run, proudly maintaining client relationships spanning three to nine years across capital 'R' Research, productivity, wellness & healthtech, enterprise SaaS, and venture capital, with several equity partnerships vesting us alongside founders we believe in. We've supported startups from their earliest mockups through IPO-scale growth, adapting our model as companies mature—from incubation and prototyping to building complete design systems and teams.
