We built an application to help the associates pick/pack the order in a timely and optimised manner from our clubs at various locations. This application was a huge hit in Covid and helped us deliver orders to our members without any delay and stay ahead from our competitors. We were delivering features without any compromise on the quality (almost zero defects) day after a day. It felt like a startup backed by Walmart.
All this was enabled using a React Native application compatible both for Android and iOS. We had to write a lot of native code to support printers and weighing machines. This application was used by around 1000 clubs. Outside of writing business features I enabled automation of the builds and unit test cases which saved a lot of time.
Our team won many awards and I was also recognised with a Bravo award for an exceptional performance.
