I’ve spent 20+ years in IT, and the through line across all of it is the same: I walk into environments where people are doing things manually that shouldn’t be done manually, and I build the systems that fix that. At ACS Technologies I built AI-powered automation that connected Datadog, Jira, and GitLab so monitoring, alerting, and incident response worked as one system instead of three. I wrote a coding agent in Python that reads specs from Notion, generates code via the Claude API, pushes to GitHub, and writes summaries back, no human in the loop for the routine stuff. At Coterie Insurance I built the Technology Services function from the ground up, selected and implemented JAMF for device management, stood up Entra ID with conditional access, and ran the full employee computing lifecycle for a distributed team. At iHerb I automated onboarding and offboarding with BetterCloud and cut manual provisioning by 70%. The traditional IT wins are there too: $500K in annual savings through vendor optimization, a $100K budget deficit reversed in 90 days, customer satisfaction up 30%. But the work I’m most interested in now is at the intersection of IT infrastructure and AI: building systems that monitor themselves, fix themselves, and free up humans to do the thinking work.
