My work focuses on ensuring a seamless and performant experience, especially during peak traffic events like the Big Billion Days, Apart from Quarterly Tech and Product Initiatives, OKRs.
Key accomplishments include:
Reactive Flipkart's Public Gateway: Rewrite and optimise the gateway to handle over 1 million queries per second (QPS). This involved implementing a non-blocking reactive service architecture, bot protection using HAProxy, and dynamic rate limiting for critical APIs.
Improving Developer Productivity: Initiatives to optimize resource utilization, enhance visibility and observability, streamline feature rollouts and configuration changes, reduce faulty pages, and create standardized on-call runbooks and SOPs.
Developing a Low-Code Platform: GraphQL-based, drag-and-drop platform for creating widget-based page experiences across mobile, mSite, and desktop. This empowers rapid experimentation, delivery and faster validation cycles.
Supporting Services: I also oversee critical supporting services, including the Page URL service and the A/B testing suite.
