• Worked on an ETL platform that captures and analyses contextual data at every touchpoint of the customer journey on the systems where it is integrated. Therefore, user experience bottlenecks can be identified and rectified to improve customer acquisition, retention, and engagement, among other aspects. Collaborated remotely as a DevOps engineer with the Usermind SRE team.
• Achievements
• Worked on and delivered the first iteration of Usermind’s suite of applications as single-tenant user environments where previously only the multi-tenant environment had been available; the new product enabled individual companies to enjoy dedicated single-environment resources.
• Rebuilt the logging infrastructure to use the ELK stack deployed on AWS EKS

• Worked remotely as a Site Reliability/DevOps Engineer on a team that managed and ensured high availability of InvisionApp's digital product design suite of applications. This involved administering a Kubernetes managed micro-services platform that served both multi-tenant and single-tenant environments. The role required me to script automation with python and bash, writing infrastructure code with Terraform, automating Kubernetes manifest file generation for the various micro-service applications, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment to AWS (Codeship) and manning the support desk to handle SLA(5 minute response time) driven customer tickets.

• As a DevOps Engineer, HashiCorp makes makes many fantastic tools which make a DevOps Engineers work that much easier i.e Terraform, Vault, Vagrant, Nomad, Consul e.t.c. As Lead Organizer of the Kampala, Uganda chapter, my role is to evangelise the use of the awesome HashiCorp offerings and other DevOps tools and principles to the local community by organising meetups to share technical experience, sharing information in form of articles on the use of HashiCorp tools in my own capacity, those of other Engineers I work with at Andela Uganda and community members and finally creating connections between the local user group with the wider international community so that the community can gain from experiences of other operators from across the globe.

• Worked as a software engineer on a global health information and data management system that tracks and monitors donor aid usage and effectiveness for the targeted beneficiaries using a model known as result-based financing. The platform assists governments and private NGOs in promoting transparency to the donors and providing donors with insight into the value their contributions are having.
• Achievements
• Automated the deployment strategy by using a VCS (GitHub) to replace the previously used FTP tool, which was quite inefficient.
• Converted part of the codebase from CodeIgniter/PHP to Ruby on Rails.
• Created a web application to consume API data from DHIS2.

• Contributed to Co-ordinated Response to Human Trafficking in Uganda (CRTU), an International Organization for Migration (IOM) project that was intended to understand and counter the prevalent human trafficking that was occurring between the Karamoja sub-region and Kampala in Uganda. IOM Surveys was conceived as a technical solution to quickly collect, store, and make human trafficking data available for analysis. Worked as a software engineer on IOM Survey’s web application.
• Achievements
• Built the back end that received the XML-formatted forms response from the Android application
• Deployed the web application to MS Windows Server and exposed the API so the Android app could send form responses
• Built the UI used internally to visualize the collected data and download CSV-formatted data for further analysis and report generation by the statisticians on the team
• Documented IOM Surveys
• Conducted remote and in-person training and support sessions on the features of IOM Surveys with the app’s 35 users
