Kumar is an aspiring Independent Director and is a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate for People Management. He is currently providing HR Consultancy services to his clients across the industry. He won the "Man of Excellence" award from Indian Achievers Forum in Oct 2022. He is practicing Leadership Coaching helping leaders/senior management professionals to set and realize their goals. He was spearheading Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives like Chatbot with Machine Learning (ML) capabilities and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for some of the key internal processes. He pioneered and rolled out an enterprise-wide multi-functional Chatbot for Mindtree for their global workforce, which was a first of its kind in the world. His work was translated into a case study by Harvard University, US. It is about the digital journey in delivering world class services to employees that cuts across multiple internal processes. The hero of the case study in the Chatbot developed internally and the support role played by the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) bots. His work thus becomes a study material for developing future Managers and for those studying MBA in reputed Universities worldwide. He conceived an out-of-the-box inclusivity drive that by taking HR work to Bangalore prison inmates serving life sentences, which is a first of its kind in Corporate sector in India. He was a member of Nasscom's Background Check Steering Committee. He founded Asia Shared Services Council for the New York based The Conference Board bringing Shared Services leaders across the globe from various industries to share best practices. He is also a member of Academic Council at SJIM, Bangalore involved in the design of curriculum for Management Studies. Earlier, he was the General Manager of Human Resources at CSC, where he was involved HR transformation and running several HR processes including Global Mobility, L&D Support, US Hiring Support etc. Kumar has experience in Talent Acquisition, Organization Design, US HR operations, transitioning services, designing and rolling out HR policies, Performance Management, Competency Building, Compensation Management for multiple geographies, Rewards & Recognition and has led one of his previous employers to PCMM Level 3 Certification. Kumar holds a Master’s degree in Management. He has obtained Brainbench certification on HR Concepts (US) and Business Communication. He is also a Toastmasters Certified Advanced Communicator Gold and Advanced Leader Silver.
