  • As I began working on Collabspot, my goal was to address the issues of discovery, qualification, and collaboration between brands and influencers. I aimed to develop an influencer marketing platform that prioritized the influencers' needs, so I started talking to brands, influencers, enablers, and players in the space to understand why existing solutions hadn't effectively solved the problem at scale.
  • During these conversations, I discovered a key insight about marketers using influencer video marketing simply because the industry "required" it, making it a norm. When I dug deeper, I realized that the reason for their dissatisfaction with influencer marketing, despite continuing to use it, was twofold: first, their content wasn't being utilized across all channels, and second, they didn't have access to data for actionable analysis and ROI optimization. - So overall Collabspot didn't have a natural pull.
