About

I’m a Business Consultant and Trainer who works at the intersection of Business Analysis, Data Analytics/Data Science, and Project/Program Management. My career is rooted in continuous learning—from high school math teacher to IT data analyst in a data management organization, building data governance and delivering Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics solutions. With 20+ years of experience, I help business analysts, data analysts, data scientists, and project managers deliver measurable results through hybrid delivery (predictive + agile + data-driven), clear requirements, and strong stakeholder collaboration. As co-founder of Facilitated Methods and author of multiple books, I deliver instructor-led training, authorized exam prep, coaching, and hands-on workshops that turn best practices into practical, on-the-job capability. I collaborate with customers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand the current environment—needs, constraints, and opportunities—then define target outcomes, KPIs, and a future-state vision that guides solution delivery. Working with developers and data management teams, I translate insight into user stories, acceptance criteria, and a prioritized backlog—supporting delivery across the SDLC (iterative planning, and release readiness). Outcomes include improved data quality and governance, stronger data pipelines (ETL/ELT), clearer data models/semantic layers, and dashboards/self-service reporting that speed time-to-insight and adoption. Using cognitive AI and AI-driven decision support, I help teams evolve from delivering data, to delivering information, to building knowledge—improving decision-making through better context and insight storytelling. I prioritize a trustworthy, ethical foundation for AI efforts (Responsible AI and AI governance), emphasizing transparency, data quality, privacy, security, human oversight, and responsible use.
