At The Starters, I help e-commerce brands of all sizes find elite fractional talent. While operating in the e-commerce world as the Chief Marketing Officer of Winc, I found it incredibly difficult to find amazing fractional talent that wouldn’t break the bank. On one hand, it was tough to find quality talent on mass-market platforms like Upwork and Fiverr. On the other, staffing agencies would charge an arm and a leg in ongoing markups and commissions, making it more expensive to hire a freelancer through them than it would be to hire someone full time. Since launching in February 2023, we’ve been able to help countless brands grow their teams in a sustainable way by helping them find amazing freelance marketers, creatives, and technologists on The Starters platform.
