  • On the onset of the second wave of Covid-19 I decided to take a break and give all my time to my family to ensure that I can do everything to safe guard the health of people who were close to me as well as the community around me by mediating the data flow of Oxygen cylinders through Instagram post. The data base which I was working around needed close attention since the contact details of available vendors and the availability of O2 was very dynamic as per the demand.
  • While the conditions got better I re-allocated my focus towards understanding what exactly is it that I should pursue in my career, it was difficult to analyze and conclude, since I completed my graduation in History (H) which doesn't have a relevance in the industry I was inclined towards. I started my journey by learning a bit about data science, by going through a course provided by Board Infinity, I learned how to work around data bases and how to do fundamental coding through python as well as visualization of the same through tableau. I found it difficult to find a job with fair compensation in the domain because of my lack of experience or academic qualification in the respective field (apart from a certification).
  • But the year in totality was fruitful as it gave me more time to talk to people, meet new individuals, get inspired in new domains while also spending most of my time scrolling 'Stack Overflow'. I was able to polish my communication and reasoning skills to ensure that no matter where I end up, I am always able to advocate my purpose in the job. And this enabled me to crack a few interviews while I also landed an opportunity to work with upGrad and contribute to the learning needs of working professionals.
