Global Future Council on Autonomous Systems

Feb 2025Present · 1 yr 4 mos

  • The Global Future Council (GFC) on Autonomous Systems focuses on Physical AI & Robotics systems operating in unstructured environments which require human-machine interaction. I'm part of the core team (with senior executives from Fortune 500 companies and researchers from MIT and Berkley) that informs on the realities of autonomous systems operating in real-world chaos—from autonomous vehicles navigating cities to industrial robots working alongside humans.
  • My focus: separating genuine breakthroughs from vendor hype and shaping policy that accelerates adoption without compromising safety.
  • Key contributions: Co-creating the framework for human-machine collaboration best practices. Currently driving WEF's position on governance in unstructured environments—the spaces where most current regulations fail.
  • Work directly with CXOs and government ministers to translate frontier technology into practical deployment strategies. Regular advisor to companies navigating the gap between autonomous systems that work in labs versus those that survive real-world conditions.

Executive Fellow

May 2024Present · 2 yrs 1 mo

  • Lead of the Technology Convergence initiative and creator of the 3C Framework.
  • I lead the World Economic Forum's first Tier-1, multi-year report in 15 years, that achieved the highest new readership of new strategic reports by the WEF in 2025. Created the 3C Framework (Combination, Convergence, Compounding) now being adopted by Fortune 100 executives and government ministers to identify where technologies intersect to create new value.
  • Directed research across 8 technology domains—from AI to quantum computing—mapping 23 high-potential technology pairings from over 238 subcomponents. Oversaw analysis of 2,000 senior executives across 18 countries to identify real deployment patterns versus hype. The framework is already influencing investment decisions in cognitive robotics, new energy ecosystems, and hybrid quantum-classical computing.
  • Key impact: Shifted the conversation from individual technology breakthroughs to technology combinations that actually reshape industries. The report now serves as the strategic playbook for CEOs navigating the $15 trillion convergence economy. Currently briefing G20 governments and Global 500 boards on implementing the framework to capture value at technological intersections.
  • The work directly addresses the gap between lab breakthroughs and commercial reality—showing leaders not just what's technically possible, but what combinations will actually drive returns and restructure value chains.

TEDx Speaker

May 2017May 2017 · 0 mo · Paris, Île-de-France, France

  • This was my 2nd TEDx talk and I spoke about what I didn’t write in the book. I talked about why I thought capitalism was a cultural construct as much as it was an economic system. And why I believed transparency and decentralization would be an antidote to the economic malaise most countries experience. Post this talk was the 2017 ICO craze, the 2019 NFT mania, and the 2021 DeFi summer. These events changed my “tech will save the world”beliefs and made me a jaded idealist.
  • Key learning outcome- Learn how to do a Ted talk. Public speaking is a learned skill that provides outsized benefits.

Book Author

Mar 2017Sep 2018 · 1 yr 6 mos

  • Exploratory book that discussed the concept of a sovereign-level blockchain. This is prior to CBDCs being defined or used in common parlance. The book looked at how current economic policies & theories created issues such as economic pollution and excessive debt creation, and explored if a blockchain based system would be an antidote to them. More economic history than technical insights. Key learning outcome of writing the book - selecting the right publisher is as important as writing a book.
