  • What I had planned for: One year sabbatical after slogging for 4-5 years. A clean break in 2017 when I would travel, explore different cultures, etc before starting out on my own in 2018.
  • What Actually Happened: Managed a 2-3 months sabbatical before I figured that taking sabbaticals isn't my thing. Started working on a few projects and business models, gave up those either because I wasn't very keen on the idea or because I didn't see a good enough market for the idea. Kept circling back to solving career pathing/ talent management/ work life issues. Finally, decided to take the plunge. Got a few projects in this domain and then started Folkswire in 2018.
