About

Empowering next-gen deep-tech startups. Product strategist and award-winning designer based in Palo Alto. I work where design meets intelligence — from IoT to Physical AI — helping teams turn inventions and prototypes into products. Former Director of Exponential Technologies at NTT Disruption (San Francisco), now Head of Hardware & Robotics at INNOVIT, the Italian Government’s Acceleration Program in Silicon Valley, and CPO of D.gree, the Sea Robots AI platform developed by SailADV. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve led design and digital-transformation programs for global brands including ABB, Warner Bros, UNICEF, PepsiCo, 3M, Generali, and many others — earning international awards, patents, and early recognition at the Apple Design Project. Making and sharing have always been inseparable for me — that’s why I founded Frontiers of Interaction, one of Europe’s first design-and-technology events. I’ve spoken at 100+ conferences and events, and I’m the author of two books (writing about IoT since 2008) and contributor to twelve more, exploring how design, technology, and human intelligence converge. Today, I continue to write on Substack and speak about the future of tech, AI, and human-systems design — from the heart of Silicon Valley.

D.gree

Chief Product Officer — D.gree (SailADV Group)

Jan 2025Present · 1 yr 4 mos · Palo Alto, California, United States · Hybrid

  • Executive C-level role leading product, platform, and AI strategy for SailADV Group’s D.gree.
  • Primary operating role, based in Palo Alto.
  • I joined SailADV to build the next evolution of intelligent yachting — turning decades of certified measurements, onboard trials, and navigation data into a deterministic AI platform for Sea Robots. After a stealth phase focused on product architecture and system integration, the work is now public with the release of D.gree V26 and the first cognitive agent Sailly.
  • Impact areas
  • 1– Strategic product positioning & design leadership: shaping SailADV as a dual company (Italy + Silicon Valley), aligning design thinking, brand architecture, and group structure. Leading the redesign of SailADV.com and Dgree.com, and defining the communication strategy and the shared value narrative: “Captains at the Center — Value for Owners, Crews, and Yards.”
  • 2– Naming, positioning, versioning & narrative for V26: defining the ONE, PRO, and ULTRA tiers as a clear product architecture and market frame — from product semantics to pricing rationale and long-term product evolution.
  • 3– Human–machine interaction & cognitive interface: redesigning the entire interaction layer — advanced dashboards for mission-critical monitoring, new mobile and smartwatch interfaces for captains and crews, and a unified UX across shipyard, onboard, and remote operations. This work leads to Sailly, the first cognitive agent built on D.gree’s foundational data, capable of understanding technical manuals, system behavior, and operational context. Currently in closed Beta for special projects, with wider rollout in Q1 2026.
  • From Palo Alto, I bring product rigor, system thinking, and a culture of iteration — aligning hardware, software, and AI under one coherent vision. Born at sea. Designed in Palo Alto. Made in Italy with care.
