As a member of the SAND platform team, I have played a key role in the development and maintenance of critical features on Arista's EOS for modular data center switches . My responsibilities have encompassed various aspects of software engineering, including implementation, design, and maintenance of multiple L2/L3 features on EOS. Specifically:
▪ Security ACLs: Contributed to the development of IPv4/IPv6 ACLs, including advanced features such as the Permit while ACL Update feature and ACL sharing feature, parity handling, stateful switchover, and hitless restartability for ACLs
▪ L3 Sub-Interfaces: Contributed to the design and implementation efforts for Layer 3 (L3) subinterfaces on Arista’s Arad and Jericho platforms, enabling efficient segmentation of network traffic and enhanced network flexibility.
▪ Resilient ECMP : Led the design and implementation of Resilient ECMP feature, optimizing ECMP route management to minimize flow remapping in load-balanced systems.
▪ Decap Group Support:Led the design and implementation efforts for VRF-aware decap group support in IP-in-IP tunnels, optimizing tunneling capabilities and enabling efficient data transmission across Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) domains.
▪ Reverse Path Forwarding: Engineered and implemented IPv4 and IPv6 unicast reverse path forwarding feature for Arista’s Jericho and Jericho2 platforms, collaborating with FlexRoute for enhanced performance and scalability.
▪ Evpn Mpls : Contributed to the design and implementation of EVPN MPLS on Jericho/Jericho2 switches, to enable scalable and efficient Layer 2 virtual private networks (VPNs) over MPLS infrastructure.
