• In 2020, Netlify raised its Series C and I was promoted to be Netlify's first Staff Frontend Engineer. I was also the founding engineer on Netlify's new Growth team, shipping data-driven experiments focused on customer acquisition, activation, and retention.
• In this role, I also:
• helped expand the core frontend discipline from 2 to 11 engineers during rapid-growth Series C phase, participating in every step of the hiring process from interview design and interviewing to onboarding, code review, and mentorship
• kicked off 3 major initiatives (testing, dependency updates, and CSS architecture) to improve the stability, quality, and developer experience of working in our React codebase
• wrote a technical implementation plan for the creation of a design system
• shipped a lot! From a brand new central dashboard in the Netlify app (dubbed the "Team Overview"), to launching a new pricing scheme and security features, to handling frontend code review for major releases like Build Plugins, 2FA, and self-hosted Git
• partnered with others across the Engineering org to adopt feature flags into our codebase and development workflows

• As a front end engineer at Netlify (joining early Series B as employee 30-something), I built new user-facing features, squashed bugs, and helped maintain our core customer-facing product (app.netlify.com): a React web app with Redux built on the Jamstack architecture.
• I also developed new pages on our marketing site, spun up a new website for the Jamstack Conference, and onboarded engineers from our Developer Experience team during their product rotations.
• A few releases I'm extra proud of:
• working with a small team to concept and build the Netlify Analytics product from the ground up, prototyping with front end charting libraries, influencing UX decisions, and owning UI development of the MVP
• evolving the charts developed for the Analytics product to be used for a new "Builds" page, showing usage charts and insights

We won ninth Best of Show for a small school website at the National College Journalism Convention in San Diego in February 2010.
