• Quickbooks Payments belongs to Small Business Group (SBG) and is all about “powering prosperity around the world”, working in this team is all about enabling small business to succeed. Online payments/mobile & POS solutions enables customers to receive payments in a very short and safe manner. As operations engineer I was the gatekeeper to ensure these services are always available to the customers.
• Responsibilities:
• Manage the entire CICD pipeline that increases the velocity for the product development teams to get their code to production.
• Provide 12x7 production support to around 10 front office payment applications. Incident Management, datacenter switchover and driving RCA were some of key responsibilities.
• Enabling Product Development teams with self-service tools that reduces the RTB work for operations engineers. Onboarding PD teams toward production-oncall and working towards true DEVOPs model where you own the code that you write.
• Part of team that developed chef recipes for infrastructure setup and deployment. Also responsible for building various scripts and dashboards that showcase Apache information, 1-click datacenter switchovers and application impact matrix.

• Consumer Tax Group (CTG) aims to make tax preparation obsolete and hence works to build services that are resilient and highly available. TurboTax Online(TTO), MyTurboTax & TT.com (Advertising portal) are some of the high traffic systems that form the core of Tax software. As Staff Operations engineer I am involved in design, develop and implement operational capabilities, and build/support tools that enable highly available, scalable and reliable customer experiences.
• Responsibilities:
• Work closely on migrating services from shared environment to tax isolation zone (QDC-E & LVDC-B), which directly improved the overall system availability and resiliency of the applications.
• Experience migrating Intuit Hosted Platform application TT.com to AWS. Responsible for setting up the EC2 instances, configuring the ELBs, VPCs and other key components in AWS.
