• Led a team of young and talented designers and researcher who design experiences for Alerting, Anomaly Detection, Open Telemetry, DataBase Monitoring, Logs and Traces. My priority is to not only successfully mentor my team in day to day tasks but also set them up for success in the long term. I am a firm believer of servant leader model and my motivation to coach my direct as well as extended team comes from these principles. As a leader, I am looking to answer 'WHY' by integrating myself in evaluative research and ensure that we as a team are solving the right problem. In parallel, two core projects I am working on are Data Informed Design and Levelling up career ladder.

• At this stage, AppDynamics was building a new product with many more capabilities beyond the legacy product. I was leading design for two squads, Alerting and Cognition Engine at AppDynamics. As a first step, this role required for me to be part of discovery and requirement gathering using user research methods in close collaboration with product manager and user research team. Designing for the top user needs aligned with quick wins for the business. I was involved in implementation of design working with developers to ensure that the development is aligned with AppD's design system and cross all the barriers that would be faced between design team, design tech and developers.

• Thriving in an engineering-led product organisation, empathising with end-users like DevOps, SRE (Software reliability engineer), Business and IT Analysts on day to day basis. Working with a global team of product managers, engineering, UX researchers and designers. Responsible for building a user advocacy culture in a freshly baked design team along with, creating discovery led design and conducting usability tests.

• Mentoring has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Inspiring folks around me, igniting their imagination, motivating them to dream bigger and guiding them on this journey keeps me going. Teaching at Designerrs was doing exactly this. I taught the course, 'Introduction to UX and UI Design'. The course covered conducting personas and scenarios, mental model and task flow, information architecture, user research, affinity mapping, UI components and tools, content strategy, grids and layouts, typography and building low to high fidelity wireframes. In the end, the group of students worked in groups on a specific problem statement to eventually add to their portfolio.

• Involved in surveying user’s needs, gathering client requirements to create designs. I was a key contributor in organizing discovery workshops with clients focussing for discussing quick design ideas and business to gather requirements. I was challenged to analyse business needs, balancing them with user needs. My role here demanded, presenting proposed designs to clients, being open to quick and multiple iterations, facilitating design reviews with stakeholders and being in sync with business analysts and developers.

• Spent four months exploring my professional career as a designer from multiples angles. Some key highlights were working as freelance designer at a design studio, separately designed an inpatient insulin monitoring mobile application for Medanta Gurgaon, volunteering in Auroville where I practiced design for social impact, spent two weeks in a meditation retreat and ten days hiking in Himalayas.

• Designed an end to end suite of products that marketers and operators require to engage with the customers, weaving experiences into a point-of-sale device – from legacy terminals to the latest POS devices and mobile tablets. I primarily worked as an individual contributor which included conducting the contextual inquiry in stores to understand the scope of improvement in POS billing device involving store associates and the customers. Further, performed the analysis to target customer needs and collaborated with developers to rapidly iterate on the designs.

• Designed a health information system aimed to educate and empower pregnant women in rural Assam. I collaborated with the researchers at the HCI lab at UTA to design multimodal interactions for the system to be tested in Assam, India.

• Conducted semi-structured interviews, focus groups performed usability analysis, created Tangible User Interface for various research projects in the lab, conducted practical and theory classes for undergraduates.
