People and Talent Specialist

Jun 2025 – Oct 2025 Β· 4 mos Β· Dubai, United Arab Emirates Β· On-site

  • I joined a DMCC-registered fintech company in Dubai as a People and Talent Specialist on a full-time contract basis.
  • The role was initially designed to cover a broad spectrum of HR functions - from recruitment and onboarding to policy development, employee engagement, and compliance with UAE labor law. However, as often happens in fast-moving environments, priorities shifted, and my focus naturally evolved toward the areas of greatest immediate need.
  • During my time with the company, I was involved in:
  • Recruitment and onboarding - supporting the end-to-end process to ensure a smooth experience for candidates and new hires
  • UAE labor law compliance and DMCC free zone requirements
  • HR policy development and maintaining accurate employee records
  • Helping new team members navigate their transition and settle into the organization
  • Unfortunately, shortly after I joined, the company underwent a strategic restructuring and rebranding, which led to the closure of my role - and eventually the wider team. It was a business decision beyond my control, and while my time there was shorter than hoped, I gained meaningful experience working within the Dubai free zone framework.
  • I'm now looking for a new opportunity where I can continue growing in HR and talent acquisition and bring both my experience and resilience to a team that's building for the long term.

Flow health

HR Lead

Oct 2020 – Aug 2024 Β· 3 yrs 10 mos Β· Los Angeles, California, United States Β· Remote

  • Flow Health is a diagnostic clinical laboratory specializing in preventive health on a molecular level. Its strategic directions include allergy testing, a wide variety of PCR testing, EMR integration including data extraction for ML-based decision engines, and blood testing around nutrition.
  • Initially, I was responsible for recruitment in the company. During my tenure, the IT team of the medical laboratory grew from 20 to 150 people. The growth rate was very high due to the main direction of the laboratory's activities at that time being COVID testing. It was necessary to develop LIMS and other portals as soon as possible.
  • Subsequently, I led the human resources management processes, including the automation of the onboarding process, performance management (successfully implementing the performance review process from scratch), and the development of company policies. The team consisted of three recruiters, one assistant, one accountant, another HR specialist, and an English teacher.
  • Towards the end of my career in this company, I orchestrated the staff reduction process, ensuring the departure of over 80 employees. Despite the challenging circumstances, after the downsizing, we performed additional duties, including payroll calculation and other administrative tasks. I effectively recruited and integrated new employees into new projects, such as the development of the ML team and the recruitment of C-level executives.
  • Achievements:
  • Successfully implemented streamlined performance management processes, resulting in enhanced employee development and retention.
  • Facilitated the successful hiring and onboarding process, ensuring a seamless assimilation into company culture and operations.
  • Led the HR team in navigating the complex staff reduction process, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while prioritizing employee well-being

  • Colvir Software Solutions was established in Great Britain as a software company with its business focus in the development, implementation and support of end-to-end integrated solutions designed to automate the core business, financial and administration activities of banks, post offices, other enterprises and public finance institutions.
  • Colvir was the first company that gave me the opportunity to develop directly in the recruitment and HR field. It was three years of learning and honing my skills.
