• As part of the distribution product team, worked on a component of the digest re-architecture (the system which sends digest emails to users) to make it more scalable and reliable, using Spark, Kafka and AirFlow.

• As a Graduate Research Assistant, I worked on projects relating to systems in general and specifically, optimizing storage and retrieval of data from file systems and databases.
• One such project was to optimize the storage mechanism used in HyperLevelDB (which is forked from Google's LevelDB) to reduce the write amplification and at the same not compromising on read throughput beyond an extent. Other projects include optimizing storage reads and writes in Ethereum using merkelized LSM data structures and building automatic framework to test file systems for crash consistency bugs.

The service, which was being used by many teams simultaneously, was modified such that each team get reasonable processing time of the service so that no team waits for longer time.
