Most people move up. I moved sideways — into my family diamond business. For ~3 years, I worked as Growth Officer at Bizom, helping FMCG brands build distribution and scale across India. In that time I scaled 2 products from 0 to 1, closed 90+ deals, and built systems that helped teams move ~70% faster. Getting good at growth meant owning B2B sales end to end, building lead systems that actually convert, and taking raw concepts to market until something stuck. I then decided to take my experience with growth into a 60-year-old family business in real diamonds and gemstones. I knew nothing going in. Still learning. I now write about what I'm learning from both worlds along with my perspective on business trends that I'm curious about.
