A consumer is not just a 'king' or mere a 'target' and absolutely not only a 'buyer'. A consumer is someone's new born baby, a nervous friend getting ready for a new life at her husband's home, a son settled abroad buying a rocking chair online for his recently retired father. In short, someone who's just like you and I. Isn’t it obvious? So, if the function of a creative agency is to craft and narrate stories that help brands create lasting relation with the consumers; isn't it the job of a marketer to identify the ‘soul’ of such stories? Could the ‘soul’ of a great story be understood only by mere facts and figures indicating a few 'visible' attributes? If the answer is a ‘definite no’, then a marketer has to be someone who is a very objective observer of the life around, keeping his eyes and ears wide open to hear what can’t be heard and see what has always been unseen. In short, the art lies in feeling what consumers feel. If that’s the truth, the obvious question is - Why a marketer aiming to interact with these rational and emotional beings is judged only by designation, experience in years, name of the college one went to; so on and so forth? With this start let me introduce myself – I’m a passionate being always on a look out for experiencing and understanding stories both mine and others’ unfolding inside movie theaters or at saloons or at weddings or at a local train’s crowded compartment or sometimes even within billion tissues of a human mind. Communication has always fascinated me and I’m here to communicate or rather help the great creative folks communicate the stories that connect brand with people like you and I. I aspire to give brands a face that a common man can identify with, give the voice that ignites hope and a personality that inspire lives. Thanks for reading my story.
