Prakhar Gupta — Data Engineer

Hi, I'm a Data Scientist by profession and a tech enthusiast by choice. Ever since I was a little kid, software development has been my passion. Throughout middle and high school, I latched on to many ideas for projects I could get, moving from "Hello World" all the way to a simple console snake game, with dozens of projects in between. I learned C, then C++ from any books I could. I was insatiable. I studied new languages, algorithms, compilers, higher mathematics, web development all with pretty much the same fascination. Now in industry, this passion remains with me. I have joined Data Engineering team of Milliman where I focused my problem solving skills and emphasizing on the writing beautiful code. Few months back, I have joined Optum where my primary goal is make myself acquaint with Azure and Pyspark. Familiar with languages like C#, C++, JavaScript. In my work, I've been exposed to cloud technologies like Azure and various Microsoft Data Engineering tools. I'm learning Python and Machine learning in parallel. I see myself as a learner and my sources of learning are online courses, tech blogs, newsletters, YouTube, open-source projects, and some beautiful people whom I follow on various social spaces.
