• Prasanna N. Muley, the founder of Busines Chalao is an MBA graduate from IIM Calcutta and has worked for more than a decade as PF Commissioner in EPFO, Ministry of Labour, Government of India.
• The team at Business Chalao comprises MBA graduates from IIM Calcutta and IIM Bangalore who are experts in the field of Marketing and Technology.

• Upon selection by UPSC, Prasanna served as a PF Commissioner with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Government of India, where he led technology-driven modernization of core business and investment operations. He directed large, multi-disciplinary teams, introduced data-centric process improvements, and helped conceive and launch e-governance products under the Government of India’s Ease of Doing Business initiative. These initiatives improved customer experience, shortened processing cycles, and strengthened operational controls across high-volume, mission-critical workflows.
• In his quasi-judicial capacity, Prasanna exercised powers analogous to a civil court in adjudicating disputes on PF coverage, assessing statutory dues, and ordering recovery of defaults. He also acted as a disciplinary authority, conducting due-process inquiries against corrupt or errant officers, and worked closely with the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate in enforcing provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Notably, he successfully defended his assessment and recovery orders when challenged before higher courts, including various High Courts and the Supreme Court of India, underscoring rigor in legal research, meticulous document analysis and drafting, structured reasoning, evidence evaluation, and strict adherence to statutes and case laws .
• Taken together, his experience at the intersection of technology, fiduciary responsibility, and law provides a practical understanding of complex, regulated workflows. It underpins a measured, systems-oriented approach to building products and institutions that prioritize compliance, transparency, and reliability in legal and adjacent domains.
