Rakshit Kumar — Co-Founder
Ever since I wrote my first line of code, I felt this rush! Like I’d stumbled onto a quest way bigger than just punching keys for a paycheck. It all started back in my sophomore year when I landed an internship at Milkie Way, Inc., right in the buzzing heart of Silicon Valley. That gig flipped a switch in me. Suddenly, I wasn’t just a kid messing around with computers. I was a dreamer ready to shake things up. Imagine a young student from India, not even out of their teens, landing a job in the heart of Silicon Valley, helping build a product for the world from scratch. That's where it started, a spark that ignited a fire. From there, I jumped in with both feet. I worked at myKaarma, soaking up everything I could, then stepped up as a Founding Engineer at Zenskar. Every late night, every bug I squashed - it wasn’t just work; it was a chance to grow and figure out how tech could do more. But the real game-changer? Co-founding Kelp, a crypto-fintech startup up in Canada. As CTO, I got to team up with this amazing, eclectic, culturally diverse crew. We were all about using slick new tech to flip traditional finance on its head and give people a leg up. It was messy and tough, sure, but seeing it come together? That’s the stuff that keeps me going. I’ve had some wild wins along the way, too. Picture this: me, a World Finalist at the Hack.Asia hackathon in Singapore, getting props from big names like Jardine Matheson, Dairy Farm, and Agorize. That was a “pinch me” moment - proof that grit and a crazy idea can take you places. Back at IIT (BHU), Varanasi, I led the Google Developer Student Club, rallying a bunch of us tech nerds to make a dent. And working on Oppia, this Google Open Source project, I got to tinker with tech that actually helps people learn. Those moments? They’re why I do this. I’ve got a toolbox packed with skills - software engineering, native app development, full stack web stuff, machine learning. I'm an avid open-source explorer. To me, every problem’s a puzzle begging to be cracked, and I’m all in for that challenge. But it’s not just about code. I’m the guy who’s always up for a trip somewhere new, soaking up different vibes and stories - or just geeking out over something I’ve never tried before. That’s what keeps my batteries charged and my ideas flowing. I’m that curious guy who can’t stop tinkering, always chasing the next big “aha!” moment. Deep down, I know tech’s got the power to change the world - one line of code, one wild idea at a time.
