My primary focus has been on developing intelligent sampling strategies to amplify the visibility of rare fraud signals while preserving the integrity of the original data distribution. A key consideration throughout the project was ensuring the sampling strategy is resilient to dataset time drift, allowing Mastercard’s production models to maintain stable performance over shifting data distributions. This required careful design of methodology to generalize across time without overfitting to any particular window.
