• Working on the Quickbooks Payroll Android Mobile app.
• Fixed various issues in the UI and created components like custom progress dialogs and reusable bottom sheets to improve the user experience.
• Integrated Launch Darkly feature flagging library, Lottie animations library, and in-app rating API in the app.
• Implemented the delete unapproved checks feature end-to-end which unblocks ~17% of users of the app for running payroll. Added various types of performance tracking and analytics. Used multi-threaded network calls to optimize and improve the performance by ~3.5 times.
• Implemented the current most trending feature on iOS (65k+ monthly pdf downloads): view paycheck pdf in the Android app. Designed the First time usage handling using a custom bottom sheet component, added performance tracking, analytics, and logging to keep track of the health of the feature and the user experience.
• Worked on targeting the Android SDK to the latest (SDK 30). Upgraded the notification library to the latest, consolidated the logic for phone/messaging features in the app in a single utility, refactored and redesigned the permissions workflow from scratch as part of this.
• Refactored and designed the PDF workflow from scratch and separated various concerns for the operations such as downloading the file, saving the file, and then rendering the file. Added unit test automation for the complete workflow.
• Upgraded the Intuit in-house auth SDK and analytics library to the latest, introduced Kotlin coroutines in the codebase
• Currently working on transitioning the app to follow the latest MVVM architecture and bringing Dark theme support to the app.
