Ai native organisations

Intern

Jul 2025Present · 11 mos · Hybrid

  • I’ve decided to dedicate focused time to something I’ve been deeply curious about — how AI-native organisations will take shape in the years ahead.
  • This is not just about one product or one technology. It’s about understanding how entire organisations transform when AI becomes a first-class citizen - from how they are structured to how they build, ship, collaborate, and evolve.
  • How will roles change when building, debugging, and using happen in parallel?
  • What does requirement gathering look like when it's continuous, time-sensitive, and driven by context?
  • How do agents fit into real-time assembly lines of decision-making and delivery?
  • How will these orgs be structured?
  • What will workflows look like when humans and AI collaborate by design, not by retrofit?
  • So, I’m interning with the anchor of understanding - learning how the future of work, teams, and systems will unfold when AI isn't an add-on, but the foundation.
  • If you're also exploring how AI is reshaping org design, workflows, and the human-AI interface, I’d love to connect, jam, and learn with you.
  • (And if you’re building something in this space - even better)

  • Ad Tech | IPL Monetization | M&A Readiness | High-Scale Streaming
  • I joined during a strategic inflection point, with roadmap for IPL 2025 kicking off and an impending merger with Hotstar and Viacom18 in motion - but with no clear timelines. The key challenge was to define the advertising tech strategy: whether to continue with external partners (as done for IPL 2024), invest in building our own platform, or begin aligning with Hotstar’s in-house ad stack without certainty on when or how the merger would close.
  • It was a complex balancing act - navigating short-term execution needs with long-term strategic alignment, all while IPL timelines were non-negotiable. Once the merger formalized, we had to quickly rally teams across both orgs, align goals, and begin integration with Hotstar’s mature stack in a compressed timeframe.
  • Despite the intensity, we saw through a successful IPL with record-breaking ad revenues, subscriber growth, and peak concurrency. Beyond the platform, it was a deeply humbling experience to witness how large-scale live production, tech, and creative direction intersect - where stakes are high, timelines are unforgiving, and precision is non-negotiable.. It was a rare convergence of technology, process, and creativity at massive scale.

  • B2B Healthtech | Digital Health Rails (NHCx) | AI in Insurance & Claims
  • When I joined IHX, it was with a clear intent — to explore how I could contribute meaningfully to the healthcare ecosystem, especially in the B2B space. What followed was an eye-opening journey into the complex world of hospitals, insurance providers, and government-led digital health initiatives.
  • Engaging with major hospital chains and insurance companies gave me a ground-level view of how fragmented and intricate the healthcare infrastructure in India is. Scaling quality care across such a diverse population is no easy task — and yet, the intent is clear, and the momentum is real.
  • One of the most fascinating initiatives I was part of was NHCx, a government-led push to redefine the digital health rails of India. From architectural decisions to implementation strategies, it was an opportunity to contribute to something far-reaching and foundational.
  • At IHX, I also worked on right-sizing the team, building capabilities while stabilising the product and exploring how AI can fundamentally reshape insurance and claims management — one of the most painful and opaque areas in healthcare.

  • Life Coaching
  • I’ve always enjoyed deep, meaningful conversations — not just about work, but about clarity, direction, and mindset. Over time, people began telling me I had a knack for “debugging” thoughts, offering perspective, and helping them uncover blind spots. When I became a people manager, this ability became more visible and impactful. During COVID, I came across the concept of Life Coaching as a formal discipline. Curious to explore what can be taught in this space, I pursued certification — and was pleasantly surprised by the structure, science, and repeatability it offers. Since then, I’ve continued to coach in a more intentional, framework-driven way — and it’s been deeply fulfilling.
  • Lifestyle Coaching
  • This journey started from my personal passion for experimenting with health, food, and movement. Friends and colleagues often sought suggestions, and one day I challenged a teammate: “If you’re serious, don’t treat this as entertainment — commit to it.” That led to my first Lifestyle Coaching engagement. It’s not a high-scale offering — just a few curated slots — but the focus is simple: clean eating, consistent movement, and building sustainable routines. No obsession with weight loss or extremes. Just helping people bring discipline and rhythm into their lives — and the results have been encouraging.
  • Always happy to connect with others on either path — whether it’s for a conversation, reflection, or accountability.

  • Monolith to Microservices | Steering Through Valuation Swings | Product Led Growth
  • At PharmEasy, I joined at a pivotal moment when the company was approaching a billion-dollar valuation and took charge of the entire B2C technology function. The platform was growing fast but built on legacy stacks like PHP and Ruby on Rails. We re-architected the system into a distributed, microservices-based setup, while scaling the team, hiring critical talent, and building a strong engineering culture - all without disrupting ongoing business.
  • One defining moment was during the COVID crisis, when we partnered with CIPLA to enable direct-to-patient delivery of Remdesivir. With black-market activity surging, we built a tech solution that verified patient need and bypassed intermediaries - delivering critical medication at scale to those who needed it most.
  • Another high-stakes episode was when PharmEasy was featured on Kaun Banega Crorepati - a planned campaign where we had prepped for a 10x traffic surge. However, the actual spike touched nearly 100x, briefly overwhelming our systems. This unexpected scale stress-tested our readiness and forced rapid, creative solutions to stabilize performance ahead of subsequent episodes.
  • Over time, I witnessed PharmEasy grow from <$1B to >$5B in valuation. With that came tough phases of consolidation and right-sizing. Navigating those transitions with empathy - while keeping teams aligned and motivated - was as critical as the architectural transformations we drove.

  • Ads | Merchandising | Marketing Tech | ML Optimization | Scale-led Growth | Org Leadership
  • I joined Flipkart when the ads business was still in its early days and had the opportunity to shape its evolution across serving, demand, optimisation, and platform layers. Over time, the scope expanded to include merchandising, marketing tech, recommendations, and ML infrastructure - building a unified optimisation platform that powered growth across all these functions.
  • Key contributions and milestones:
  • Platform Thinking: Built a common platform for ads, merchandising, and marketing - enabling smarter decisioning, faster experimentation, and feature extensibility.
  • ML-Led Innovation: Drove initiatives like Smart ROI, auto-content, homepage optimisation, and predictive models - balancing algorithmic optimisation with business control.
  • Sales-Scale Engineering: Built systems resilient to massive traffic spikes (e.g., Big Billion Days), with adaptive strategies tailored to customer behaviour and session context.
  • 40x Revenue Growth: Played a central role in scaling the ads business from double-digit crore to four-digit crore revenue - driven by product-led initiatives such as Self-Serve, PCA, Brand Ads, and Placement Ads.
  • Cross-Functional Impact: Extended influence to audience platforms, data foundations, and ML infra -enabling end-to-end stack maturity.
  • As the platform evolved, so did the teams. This phase involved designing the right org structures, nurturing high-potential talent, and fostering a performance-driven yet empathetic culture. It meant aligning people with the right opportunities, enabling internal mobility, and making thoughtful decisions to sustain overall team health. The goal was always to create an environment where individuals could grow, contribute meaningfully, or transition with clarity and respect.
