As a member of the retail engineering team, I designed and implemented a retail suit from the ground up that could acquire products from a vendor and return them to the vendor.
This retail suite orchestrates a number of microservices such as consignment management, order management, and payment services. In this retail suite, a CQRS pattern was implemented.
Designed and developed a Command service/Orchestrator that is in charge of transactional modifications in the corresponding microservices. A real-time processor was also designed and implemented to process the change data from transactional updates and store the enhanced data in our search index for our Query system to query.
System administrator for several systems such as consignment, retail capacity management, and returns.
Responsible for developing and reviewing low- and high-level designs. Responsible for coaching interns, SDE1s, and other teammates as they transition into the retail ecosystem, as well as guiding them in making the best design and technology implementation.
In this present capacity, I've learned about system architecture, design patterns, and mentorship.
Technology used:
Java, Drowizard, Guice, Spring, Elastic search, KStream, Mysql, Hadoop, Python, Kafka, Linux.
Impact
Flipkart, Walmart, and its subsidiaries may now leverage this retail suit to grow their business-to-business operations.
