• Project: Breach Detection Splunk app
• This is a cutting edge application to detect "intrusion kill chains " in the massive amount of events that get generated from different devices. Complete ownership from concept,ideation till delivery of the app.
• Project: SnortoSphere
• This is to augment advance machine learning capabilities into Snort by integrating it with Stratosphere IPS which is flow based.
• Project : "Proof of Transit"
• Instrumental in inventing cryptographic protocols for proving the transit path of packets in a network. This is highly critical in SDN/NFV networks where customers wanted solid proof that their packets in fact went through all the services they have opted for. This is part of larger tech fund project called "Inband-OAM". This work resulted in 4 US Patents and 2 Internet Draft apart from an open source implementation of the technology (FD.io)
• Project: Privacy Guard
• This is an innovation project (semi finalist in internal innovation challenge). To use advanced cryptographic technology called "Secure Multiparty Computation" in order to provide cloud data privacy.
• Many other initiatives for security innovation , also the co-chair for driving large internal security conference called SecCon's regional edition

• Project : "Access Risk Management" (SBG's Innovation Tech Fund Winner)
• Responsibilities: Complete ownership of pitching the idea, getting funding, leading a small team, till delivery of the proof-of-concept of this idea. This involves everything that takes to "Make-it-happen" right from technical architecture, research, design to interacting and influencing multiple teams across multiple functions like sales, marketing, product managers, engineers, architects. Portrayed leadership role in delivering this project from scratch.
• Project : Software Defect Prediction
• This is collaboration project with University of Waterloo Professor Lin Tan. This involves applying machine learning techniques in predicting software defects.
• Responsibilities: Lead role in envisioning, developing and employing Personalised Defect Prediction techniques developed by University in deploying and prototyping them internal to Cisco.
• Project : Data Anonymization And Analytics for Cloud Privacy.
• Design of the Secure Techniques for accessing Encrypted data for Cloud Security Platform (Patent Pending: 14/087,045 ). Design of a block cipher FNR mode.
• Responsibilities: Designing block cipher techniques for encrypting small objects like Credit card numbers, IPv4 addresses etc. Also coming up with best practices for anonymizing the data before it is shared with Cloud Service Providers. Protrayed engineering lead role for this project.
• Project : Cisco Security Manager
• Responsibilities:
• Design, Development of Management Applications for Cisco Firewalls (Multiple Cisco Achievement Program Awards for high quality, innovation , team work).
• Developed a prototype and Written paper on application of index searching techniques (using Lucene) to firewall access rules that won me first prize in Innovation Expo 2011 in Cisco.
• Security Advocacy for Internal teams for compliance with Cisco Secure Development Life Cycle (Awarded Product Security Champion from SVP - 2013)
