As part of the Infrastructure Scanning team, I developed an event-driven service which automated network device list updates in our scanning control plane, saving 7-8 hours of manual effort weekly.
I spearheaded the standardization of the network inventory definition for my team on Git from various different data sources. I collaborated with more than 20 Business Unit Owners to achieve this. This initiative replaced fragmented and inconsistent practices, such as reliance on emails and Google Sheets, with a unified and efficient process.
Led the migration of our on-premises network inventory update service to SaaS, enabling seamless integration of the Service with cloud-based vulnerability management workflows, helping the team achive safe change compliance for 100% services.
Developed and maintained a comprehensive monitoring tool for constant monitoring of our widened global infrastructure, addressing the lack of automated alerts for service downtime or scan failures. The service monitors configurations, certificates, licenses, and sends metrics to Argus for automated alerting via PagerDuty and Slack.
Developed a scan gap analysis service which was resnponsible for automatically detecting the scan gap by comparing results of the initial scan results with the source of truth saving 7-8 hours biweekly for multiple teams. This eliminated manual dependency, made the process more robust and reliable, and facilitated cross team collaboration.
Proactively supporting team's on-call process, configured alarms on existing services and fixed faults to reduce in-flow ticket count by ~20% on a weekly basis. Documented runbooks for easy mitigation of recurring issues.
