• Refined the supply chain technology blueprint and led its execution, simplifying the architecture and driving adoption across all new development. This resulted in over $10K+ in monthly savings and a reduction of 10+ services, streamlining the overall system.
• Led hiring for FTE and FTC roles, rapidly scaling the team from 20 to 45+ engineers. Established and enhanced systems to set both new and existing engineers up for success, reducing the time for a new engineer’s first production release from one month to just seven days.

• Led a major re-architecture of the loyalty platform, enabling rapid deployment of cross-tenant loyalty programs with minimal engineering effort. This accelerated the launch of Swiggy One Lite, Food Free-Del, and Swiggy Black in record time.

• Helped setup the first version of Swiggy's data-pipeline (batched and real-time) and data-warehouse to start the culture of data-driven decisions. Built an analytics app to give near-real-time view into the business performance across various verticals (with city and date-time cuts). This was shared with the leadership and investors. This was setup on a vertica cluster.
• Setup the first data-science team at Swiggy and started working on problems like cross-selling, listing recommendations. Worked on both the modelling and engineering aspects of these problems. This gave us big wins in terms of driving up metrics on avg. order values, avg. items per order, time to order, demand shaping.
• Was given the ownership of the storefront back-end team which was responsible for IAM, Discovery, Search, Personalization. Maintained and upgraded the existing systems which were not setup to be extensible or for scale; while driving the culture of experimentation. Brought in good engineering and coding practices to ensure the team was continuously learning.
• Helped setup A/B Experimentation as a platform capability.

• Setup the first versions of the catalog, coupon systems.
• Owned the end-to-end effort to setup Swiggy's first call-center and fulfillment systems. Major wins were - role based assignments; custom assignment logic for optimizing the call-center efficiency goals; used web-sockets to ensure zero-dashboard reloads and real-time communication with the agents. This system continued without any major changes in the architecture for next 3 years.

• Worked on developing Product and Technology plan for Makeystreet.
• In the process of finding product-market fit, had to iterate the product very quickly. This required finding the fastest way to solve problems first, and optimising for scale later. Setup analytics and logs for tracking usage metrics and improved the product accordingly.
• Worked on Python, Django, Javascript, jQuery, Backbone.js, Postgres, Scrapy and many other technologies.

• As a quality engineer, developed regression and integration test suite for the MCSE (Multi-Channel Sourcing Engine) team. This was developed in Java using TestNG framework.
• Later developed regression, integration and end-to-end test suite for SOA-RI (SOA reference implementation) team. This involved developing deep understanding of SOA principles and their implementation using Apache CXF framework. Also worked extensively on Apache Spring framework.
• Moved to development in SOA-RI team and worked on aggregating and visualising logs generated from various internal services. Used Mupd8 (@WalmartLabs' implementation of MapUpdate framework) for processing the live logs. Used astyanax (Netflix's Cassandra Java Client) for interacting with the Cassandra data store. Developed the web interface on Java Spring framework.

• Headed a 13 member team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining Saarang website (having more than 4.7 million hits in 2 months). Built using PHP, Javascirpt, jQuery having MySql backend.
• Built an in-house ticket sales portal and integrated with an external payment gateway for processing the payments. Sale of tickets for the professional shows - the biggest attraction at Saarang was handled through this portal.
