  • A web-based application with different import & export processes scheduled using autosys to help & maintain the collateral/commodity trade details. System generates warnings & also does different calculations for handling risk in commodity trading.
  • The system is having a n-tier test driven architecture. The front-end is written using a combination of .Net 4.5, MVC4 Razor , CSS, jQuery & kendo components. The whole architecture is made loosely coupled & flexible using IOC containers & different design patterns. The system also has background jobs running on parallel threads which is implemented using TPL features. Background jobs hosted on one server sends info & warnings to the web application using SignalR based on publisher-subscriber model. Database is hosted on SQL server.The whole application is unit tested using Nuint & TypeMock & BDD is also implemented to test the UI & behaviour of the application.

  • Cost Analysis RIIO Engine (CARE) is a desktop application to update and optimize financial spread sheets in bulk.
  • The system employed a n-tier architecture to get the data from the spread sheet through COM port and after validations and merging operations sent into SQL Server database using .NET 3.5 with LINQ-2-SQL and NHibernate to access the SQL server, a componentised data model that used Castle Windsor (IoC) for loading the components, a set of WCF services that provides access to the model and a ASP.NET MVC3 front-end using JQuery for interactions. The whole development is fully test driven (TDD) using NUnit and Rhino Mocks. Used Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, included using planning poker, backlogs, sprints and daily scrum meetings.
  • RIIO - Cost Management System
  • A web based application that loads the data from the XML file and displays the data in the organised way to the customers to login, manage, analyse and generate SSRS reports. The system will allow the user to create new scenarios by applying different factors and check how the unit cost varies and the results will be downloaded as PDF files or excel files. System will also allow the user to schedule some tasks to run in background using Quartz scheduler.
  • The system itself employed a SOA, domain-driven n-tier design. The front-end portals were written using a combination of .NET 4.0, MVC3, Razor, CSS and jQuery. The sites integrated into a suite of WCF web services which provided the application layer. These, in-turn communicated with a Fluent NHibernate generated schema, hosted within an SQL Server 2008 database and secured with Rhino Security. The system heavily uses WCF to provide end-to-end communication from the data layer, through the application layer to the websites and vice-versa. The whole system is unit tested using NUnit and RhinoMocks. Tortoise SVN and Team City is used for continuous code integration.

  • A computerized control system maintained and enhanced to handle the practicalities of gas transportation across the national network. The system interacts with SCADA & other systems to get actual & forecasted data with features to have complex operations. Project was stabilized & spread through four different gas distribution networks.
  • The whole system is divided into two parts – Web application & service hosted for data intake. SOA, domain driven 3-tier architecture of the system has the capabilities to intake 200+ types of files as input & also to generate Xml, CSV & excel files of 300+ types. Multi-threading capability of the system written using threads & timers is properly managed & made as thread safe. System execution depends mainly on two configuration Xmls. These Xmls contains the schedule information’s & the details of the data intake interfaces making the system completely pluggable. The front-end is written in ASP.Net 3.5, C#, CSS & jQuery. The sites integrated into a suite of WCF web services have a single sign In between the scheduler service & the Web service application. Database is hosted in Oracle & managed using stored procedures & triggers. Code Integration is handled using Microsoft Visual SourceSafe.
