Vishnumaya Unni — Co-Founder
An Electronics and Communication engineering graduate who realised semiconductors and transistors were not her cup of tea since her first year of college. That's Vishnumaya Unni! Electronics fascinates her, and maybe she can read about it but never work with it. So, she decided to focus a lot more on futuristic projects with a mix of tech and management where she found her liking for leadership and products. Vishnu was awarded the prestigious Grace Hopper Celebration Scholarship for attending the world's largest technical conference for women in computing and the Millennium Fellowship as the Campus Ambassador, a semester-long leadership development program presented by The United Nations Academic Impact and MCN. She was also a Carolyn Leighton Scholar and represented India as the Global Ambassador at the World Literacy Foundation. Her greatest achievement is founding a literary club, 'The Book Thieves', in an engineering college. She is someone who is proactive and accomplishes whatever she sets her mind to, however daunting it may be, and always stays fully committed. Vishnu joined GrowthX as part of the Member Outcomes team, where she worked with founders from internet-first companies to co-build their growth teams. Her next biggest achievement was here: building, launching and scaling a 0-1 product, ELEVATE, for community members to achieve successful career outcomes. It was her dream job that she loved and was completely obsessed with, which is why it was surprising for many when she let it go. After that, she worked part-time for Being Consultant as a Founder's Office Associate during the break. She also volunteered in organisations like Empact to contribute in ways she could and learn from experts in different fields. After her solo backpacking journey across India, Vishnu joined Polygnan as their first hire to work on social impact. Volunteering for initiatives under SDG 3, 4 & 5 has always been a part of her life journey ever since school, and her ultimate goal is to create a space where education meets all. So, this jump to a role that came very unexpectedly eventually became a natural step forward. Vishnu enjoys coffee and likes to play with words whenever she can. Creating and consuming content is her go-to fun activity. You will often find her carrying a book around or jotting down thoughts in her Notes app. Since the age of 7, she has been writing and dreams of publishing her book one day. Connect with Vishnu for meaningful conversations around product, content, career goals, or even the wildest idea you have to make the world better!
