About

I am an Odonata researcher, interested in their taxonomy and ecology. I have over twenty publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, including new species descriptions. I have written popular articles on nature awareness and conservation for RoundGlass Sustain and Current Conservation. I am a governing council member of Society for Odonate Studies (SOS), an NGO based in Kerala, India, that works towards research and conservation of Odonata (dragonflies & damselflies). I am also an active birder and media reviewer of my home district in ebird, the open-access platform used widely by ornithologists and birdwatchers. I have taken over 30 sessions on birdwatching and odonatology to students, teachers, biodiversity managers and other stakeholders in Kerala. I have been awarded the Paristhithi Poshini fellowship by the Government of Kerala, for my research on the ecology of odonates of Kole wetlands. I have also been awarded the Research Support Grants by IUCN SOS in the year 2021-22 for my research on the endemic damselfly, Disparoneura apicalis.
