Raised in Kenya, I moved to India for my BTech in Computer Science at IIT Bombay. My work experience taught me the importance of clean coding. While working full-time, I engaged in part-time business ventures, leading to software services entrepreneurship. I founded Coditas to promote clean coding. Coditas has been profitable since its inception without external funding, owning office premises and maintaining zero liability. Our success is rooted in quality, efficiency, and integrity, along with discipline and punctuality. Our focus as coders is not on domain or technology but on solving real-world problems using computers.

Gemstone helped me fall in love with coding. The first 3 years I was part of the core product development team whereby I implemented the map interface and the data persistence functionality. The work was in java involving a thorough understanding of multi-threaded, multi-VM interaction. One of the best technical teams I have worked with which helped groom me to write clean and performance oriented code.
After the first two years, moved to the newly setup business development team in India to help the product awareness in India. This was a stepping stone for me for moving from tech to a sales role.
