About

How does somebody go from studying Petroleum Engineering at one of the top universities in the world, to cross-cultural training & consulting, to becoming known as "The Indian Whisperer"? It’s a story I love to share for anyone who is interested in learning why. I have vast expertise in Indian (& Eastern) culture, communication, and spirituality. 15 years of experience working, researching and training cross-culturally. I'm blessed to have travel experience of 30+ countries around the world. I love sharing a good cup of chai or coffee with people who are eager to learn. ☕️ My college background was in Petroleum Engineering from the prestigious University of Tulsa. This opened the door for challenging learning & awesome internships. My best internship was for ConocoPhillips in Anchorage, Alaska working with the drilling team that was setting world records for horizontal wells. But fate would have it that some of my personal priorities would change & new doors would open up. After college (while turning down amazing job offers from energy companies) I went to India for a year to explore cross-cultural training, international business, & have a fun adventure. I fell in love with India & ended up staying there 8 years helping lead teams & start new branches of our company. I specialized in learning Indian culture, & being a bridge between cultures. We helped Indian companies improve their soft skills & cultural intelligence to compete in global markets. I also lead teams of 10-15 Americans helping them adjust & thrive in a difficult context. Coming back to the States I've continued to pursue guiding people to success in their cross-cultural journeys, especially between Americans & Indians. I love how Chai & Coaching has helped thousands of foreigners to study abroad & land amazing jobs in the United States of America.
