Hi! I am Snigdha, a graduate in MBA (HR) from Symbiosis and working as HRBP for Navi. During my days at Symbiosis, I was a member of the Placement Committee, where my work involved managing the end-to-end Campus Recruitment Process for 200+ students. As a member, I also dealt directly with students for Training sessions and Pitched to 100+ companies. To pursue my creative side in writing and designing content, I was also an active member of the Alumni Relations Committee and the HR club. Before MBA, my degree in Psychology led me to explore the uncharted waters of Social Impact. I was associated with a fellowship program called 'Gandhi Fellowship' by the Piramal Foundation. As a Gandhi fellow, my work involved managing 7 Government Primary Schools (impacting 2000 people) in the rural areas of Bageshwar District, Uttarakhand, by working on teachers' leadership skills and designing interventions for improving the student learning outcome. With this brief experience of moving on from psychology to social impact to the field of HR, one thing that has remained constant is 'People' and how you drive them and manage them. The skills that I have imbibed over the journey and my background in psychology is helping me make a difference both in my professional as well as personal life. As a Gandhi Fellow, I was responsible for managing 7 Government Primary Schools and the associated communities (including 750 people) in one of the remotest blocks of Kapkote, Bageshwar District, Uttarakhand. Extensive work to improve student learning outcome was done through the library, assembly, building as a learning aid and BAAL Sansad. Working at the height of 2200 meters above sea level, the work was extremely challenging without basics facilities like electricity, calling network and road connectivity but required a lot of creativity.
Support to the schools was extended by working on the leadership skills of Primary teachers who have the experience but need exposure to make learning more effective for children. Skills involved in the position were:
