I believe entrepreneurs aren't really misfits, they are just those who think out-of-the-box, break the protocol and do the different. As a kid,I always fancied being the misfit who made a difference, and if fortune were to favour the brave, I did excel in most opportunities that came my way in doing so. I participated and initiated several social projects that helped me understand my strengths more and work on my weaknesses. During my Masters in Marketing in 2010, I began to realize that the globe is now shrinking. For trade,commerce and social relations to flourish, knowing foreign languages is a powerful asset. That's when I went on to learn French, Spanish and German.I also compiled content and voiced India’s most selling e-learning Language CDs for the three languages by Pebbles, available at an Odyssey or Crossword near you! Ich bin una "Linguaphile" et je suis very proud! (That’s four languages in one line- so go easy on your translator) Nov 2010, I began freelancing for an online-media portal that featured startups and entrepreneurs before I joined them full-time as an Associate Editor.Having interacted with several entrepreneurs I got well acquainted with the startup ecosystem, understood several business models, key challenges & so on and so forth. And Entrepreneurs are ridiculously amazing people…so I got very interested in being on the other side of the table and took the opportunity when it arose. In 2013, I started my own venture called The Venturator, an online marketplace that connects startups with ecosystem enablers. We aim to solve the greatest problem of every Indian entrepreneur- Connecting to the right resources in the least time! The misfit in me now wishes to make a difference in the startup ecosystem. After all, like Batman rightly says, It's not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you.
