• Implemented robust engineering processes, including code reviews, CI/CD, and monitoring and oncall processes from day 1, to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability for ~150K total users within a span of 1 year.

• Defined vision, mission, roadmap, and led a team of 4 senior engineers and 1 manager, with a cumulative reporting 13 directs, for DPX – Amazon worldwide (WW) product page tier-1 backend service, one of the largest service Amazon owns, complexity and traffic-wise.
• Amazon Interviewing Bar Raiser: Interviewed and conducted debrief for ~200 loops for engineering and non-engineering roles, including individual contributors (IC) and people managers.
• Retail Call Leader: As one of the 60 global call leaders, led 30+ Amazon-wide incident responses during high velocity events (Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday) and outages.
• Consumer Ops Review APAC & EU: As 1 of the 7 APAC & EU core committee member, conducted operational review for retail teams and services in APAC & EU region on a bi-weekly basis.
• Career Growth: Conducted career growth sessions on IC promotions and role transitions across multiple organizations at Amazon Vice President level. Additionally, led 3 5-member SDM cohorts for new joiners. Also, mentored 3 software managers for >6 months in their role and level transitions.

• After ~1 year in software engineer in testing role, I joined the Amazon detail page organization as a software engineer in 2014. Amazon detail page is one of the most visited pages on the internet. My immediate team owned the Tier-1 backend framework called DPX (Detail Page eXperience) for the detail pages.
• My daily activities included, but not limited to, designing and developing new framework enhancements and detail page features; stakeholder engagement, operations and on calls; interviewing software engineer/QA candidates; and guiding and mentoring junior engineers and interns.
• Some of my most notable projects:
• 1. I identified a high-severity legal issue for Amazon worldwide; made a case for prioritization; and led and collaborated with 4 organizations to deliver a successful resolution. If unresolved, this could have cost Amazon ~1MM USD.
• 2. I successfully led and delivered 3 platform migrations by collaborating with ~150+ partner teams for DPX.

• As an SDET, I designed and developed an automation framework for UI and functional testing of the Amazon website. The automation framework minimized the overhead of finding the elements via hard-coded references in DOM (X Paths/CSS selectors). I did this by leveraging JavaScript and jQuery to find the elements, taking screenshots of A/B, and then running an image diff to detect any unwanted or undesired changes or bugs.
• My other responsibilities included developing test plans, test case enumeration, generating test data, and manual testing.
