Sharad Katwa — Product Manager
I didn’t start in product; I started with curiosity. Six years as a software engineer taught me how things are built. But it was when I helped launch a cloud platform post-MBA without even knowing what "PM" meant that I discovered what truly drives me: connecting dots between users, data, and strategy to solve meaningful problems at scale. Since then, I’ve led high-impact products across fintech, AI, and airport tech shaping systems that are not just intelligent, but also deeply human. Zero to One at Intuit: I built Intuit’s State Tax Registration service from scratch, solving a critical compliance gap for SMBs. This meant build-vs-buy assessment, simplifying compliance across 50 states, & embedding registration frictionless into the payroll flow. The outcome? A 2x jump in conversion, $2.5M in revenue in Year 1, and 15,000+ businesses made compliant without friction or fear. GenAI, Not Just a Buzzword: I led a GenAI-powered tax notice resolution system that blended RAG with rule-based automation. It slashed resolution time from 20 to 5 days, cut penalties, and lifted PRS by 18 pts all while reducing agent workload by 30%. GenAI should do more than answer; it should resolve. Designing Airports of the Future: At BIAL, I drove a digital transformation across two fronts: • Product Discovery: Designed a multi-channel digital passenger experience platform using human-centered design, empathy mapping, and journey analytics. • Data Platform Vision: Built a 30-source Enterprise Analytics Platform improving operational efficiency & democratizing self-service insight across teams. Trainer. Coach. Evangelist. Teaching is in my product DNA. I’ve: • Trained 350+ engineers on Oracle BI in my early days. • Led Intuit's Innovation Catalyst community, coaching 65+ peers in Customer Driven Innovation. • GenAI masterclasses for 100+ professionals showing how to prototype AI-powered MVPs without code. • PM workshops for 400+ MBA students & faculty, designing curriculum that mirrors the real world of product. Whether it’s scaling platforms or mentoring people, I build for both outcome and uplift. I believe product leadership isn’t just about launching solutions, it’s about creating lasting systems and empowering others to build with you. Let’s connect if you’re: → Shaping the future of work, AI, or product → Building at the intersection of tech + humans → Looking for a collaborator who blends product, platforms, and people fluently Specialties: Zero-to-One Product Strategy | GenAI & Automation | Data Platforms | HCD & Agile | Product-Led Growth | Community Leadership
