Wg Cdr (Dr) Surya Kant Sharma has extensive exposure to entire gamut of Strategic, Operational & Developmental activities. He has worked successfully in the area of Capacity building, Strategy, Organization Development Intervention, Leadership and People development. Dr. Sharma has worked with the UN (DPKO) for over two years and has also mentored and consulted for a global Applied AI Consulting firm, Indigm Inc. He has served as an aviator with the Indian Air Force and has headed the Human Resources and Operations function at ICRISAT, a UN Statute body based out of India. Prior to moving into the Telangana government, he led the Micromax Manufacturing Plant in Hyderabad, which produces Mobile Phones and Consumer Electronics. He holds a Doctorate in Organization Development from University of North Bengal, a Master of Philosophy in Strategy from Osmania University and a twin masters in HR and Strategy from Osmania University and Madras University respectively. He has also done short courses in “Global Business Management' and 'Strategic Management for Global Leadership' from AIM Manila and has also completed a short duration Program in 'Strategic Leadership' from ISB, Hyderabad. He has trained UN Staff from DPKO, UNU and UNSC and also speaks regularly to newly recruited Civil Servants, international investors, industry delegates and senior business leaders in the area of strategy, leadership and manufacturing ecosystem in Telangana and also in the country. He actively supports many social and charitable causes and is a Kindness Ambassador with Life Vest Inside (an International NGO). He is currently also contributing in his professional/personal capacity in developing Telangana as the most favorable investment destination. He looks forward to working on assignments in the area of nation-building, capacity development and providing strategic orientation to budding entrepreneurs, some of the areas where he feels that his experience and networking strengths can be leveraged.
