• Rohit was a consultant with McKinsey&Company for close to a decade. Since joining the firm in 2000, Rohit worked across consulting and practice research functions. His notable client engagements included
• Retail banking strategy for a major European multinational bank – this involved answering questions on portfolio choices and laying out the strategy for business build in a specific country
• Operations transformation program for a leading Indian bank – this involved redesigning their operating and distribution architecture across retail and SME, which included centralization of processes, customer service improvement programs and creation of sales forces from scratch. This program was one of the largest operations transformations attempted by any bank in Asia
• Greenfield bank launch for a leading Indian bank in one of the major South-east Asian market. This involved laying out the business blueprint across consumer and SME, and implementing the business build across distribution, organization, IT and operations
• Growth strategy for a leading Indian bank in North America focusing on consumer and SME clientele – this involved defining the business model and outlining segment specific value proposition
• Productivity enhancement program for their tied agency sales force for an emerging market life insurance company.
• Future SME strategy for a leading bank in Malaysia covering four key business segments.
• Rohit was also a key contributor to the book ‘Banking in Asia – Acquiring a Profit Mindset’ published by Wiley & Co in 2003.
• In addition to his client commitments, Rohit was part of the core McKinsey recruitment in India and led the recruitment at ISB and IIMA PGPX for many years. He also led the learning function for early tenure consultants. Rohit was also amongst the leaders of the Financial Institutions operations and technology practice in India.
