I am passionate about analyzing data to identify and solve business problems. After graduating from IIT Roorkee in 2020, I have been working with Citibank India as a Technology Analyst for their Institutional Clients Group (ICG) business. My role includes collaborating with multiple teams for the development and maintenance of financial reporting applications. Working with Citibank for their ICG business, I have been exposed to various issues in the applications and complex financial data it processes for clients across the globe. I did two research interns in the field of data analytics and computing, before joining Citibank as a full-time professional. These interns exposed me to non-conventional applications of data analytics. During my bachelor’s, I learnt various interpersonal skills by holding leading positions in different campus groups.

Selected as an intern under MITACS GRI program for a 12 weeks internship at the Western University, London, Ontario. I as the MITACS Globalink Intern:
Developed a multivariate index to monitor droughts by exploring the various existing univariate indices
Processed 50 runs Canadian Regional Climate Model 4 precipitation and temperature data for 151 years using R
Computed the drought index by dividing the data into two time periods, Historical: 1951-2010 and Future: 2040-2100, and determined the duration and severity by defining a threshold value of the index
Analysed the dependence of duration and severity using the concept of copulas and estimated the return periods
Scrutinized the changes in the trend of the likelihood of drought occurrences from the historical to the future period

Studied existing hydrological models for rainfall-runoff simulation
Developed a modified channel morphology-based model for runoff simulation by combining the two models in C++
