Microsoft Ad Delivery Engine is a distributed platform that supports hundreds of millions of requests for ads per day, with very tight SLA requirements. The current system has been stretched to limits in terms of capacity, given the growth of our advertising platform. Any extensibility requires costly hardware with manual installation, configuration and monitoring. Autopilot is a management layer between the OS and your distributed services, on commodity servers. Autopilot currently manages >90% of OSD servers (more than 100,000 servers) including all of Bing. Autopilot offers reduced hardware expense, reduced engineering costs and reduced operations cost. Worked on migrating AdCenter’s Paid Search and Contextual Search to Microsoft Cloud Autopilot.
Architected the migration of 30+ services to 10,000+ machines in the cloud.
Worked on re-architecting of Ad Delivery Infrastructure on Autopilot to meet Yahoo! scale.
